President Kufuor Ends Vacation

President Kufuor returned to work on Monday after a weeklong vacation. Observers say the vacation, the first of its kind in the nation’s history was largely used to attend to the New Patriotic Party’s functions. Among his first assignments was the swearing in of Alexander Kobina Bonney as a member of the board of the Public Utilities Regulatory Commission.

President Kufuor also received a delegation from the Ashanti Goldfields Company Limited led by the Chief Executive, Sam Jonah and the Chairman of Lomin Plc, John Craven. The President’s return from vacation coincides with that of Economic Planning and Regional Integration Minister, Dr. Paa Kwesi Ndoum.
