President Jonathan lays wreaths at the Nkrumah Mausoleum

Accra, Oct 8, GNA – Nigeria’s President Goodluck Jonathan on Satur= day visited the Kwame Nkrumah Mausoleum as part of his three-day official visit to Ghana.

The President, who was received by Vice President John Dramani Mahama at the Park, laid two wreaths on the tombs of former President Kwame Nkruma= h and his wife Fathia Nkrumah on behalf of the government and people of Nigeria.

The Nigerian President was later conducted round the Museum that contained all the historical relics of the former President. He also signed the visitors’ book and inspected all the historical photographs and book stands of Kwame Nkrumah.

President Jonathan had earlier on held bilateral discussions with President John Evans Atta Mills and would Saturday afternoon receive an Honorary Doctorate Degree from the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration.
