President John Mahama turns 56

Today marks the 56th birthday of the president of the Republic of Ghana, John Dramani Mahama.

He was born on November 29, 1958 at Damongo, in the Damango-Daboya constituency in the Northern Region of Ghana.

President Mahama ascended to the high office of President, following the death of the then incumbent President John Evans Atta Mills on July 24, 2012 in Accra.

After being sworn in as the President, his good works and commitment to provide the best for Ghanaians motivated the people to vote for him as the president in an elections conducted by Ghana’s Electoral Commission on December 07, 2012.

President Mahama is a communications expert, historian and a writer.

He is a Christian and believes in the importance of respect for and tolerance of, other faiths and forms of worship in a nation as diverse and peaceful as Ghana.

President John Dramani Mahama is a man of many talents and actions, and has committed himself to fulfilling the vision of creating a “Better Ghana Agenda” by focusing on Jobs, Stability, Development, Health, Economy and other social issues.

He has been married for over twenty years to Mrs. Lordina Mahama, and they have eight (8) children.

We wish the President long life and more strength to fulfill all his activities to ensure development in the country.
