President goes on Tour

Accra, July 27, GNA – President John Evans Atta Mills will from tomorrow Tuesday 28th July begin a tour of the Western and the Brong-Ahafo regions, a statement signed by the Presidential Spokesperson, Mr Mahama Ayariga, said on Monday.

The tour, the statement said, will begin with a durbar of chiefs and people of the Western Region at the Jubilee Park in Takoradi to be followed by meetings with interest groups to deliberate on several matters concerning the socio-economic development of the region.

On Wednesday the President will continue to the Sefwi-Wiaso Traditional Area where he will attend a durbar and hold meetings with interest groups.

In the Brong-Ahafo Region the President will visit Sunyani, Goaso, Dormaa, Tain and Techiman where he would hold durbars with the chiefs and people and other groups.

The President will inspect on-going development projects in the areas to be visited and thank the people for reposing their confidence in his government.
