President Ends Tour

President J. A. Kufuor has ended his tour of the Western Region with a call on the people to rally behind the Government to move the country forward.

He said Ghana was on the path of development and the Government would not be distracted in any way by critics who saw nothing good in his administration. ?Let them continue making noise about ?wahalla? we shall continue doing good work,? he remarked.

Addressing a durbar of the chiefs and people of the Wassa Amemfi East District at Wassa Akropong, President Kufuor said the Government would continue to keep faith with the people.

He said the establishment of the University of Mines in Tarkwa would help produce the needed human resource for the country?s development.

The Omanhene of the Wassa Akropong traditional area, Kasapreko Kwame Bassanyi, commended the Government for the establishment of the University of Mines in Tarkwa and also for initiating rehabilitation works on the Bawdie- Asankragwa road.
