President arrives in Cotonou

President John Dramani Mahama on Monday arrived in Cotonou- Benin, to begin a two-day state visit to the West African country.

Apart from holding bilateral discussions with host President Dr Thomas Yayi Boni, President Mahama would also visit some important projects in the city.

President Mahama, who was accompanied by Mahama Ayariga, Minister for Information and Media Relations, Mr Emmanuel Kofi Buah Armah, Minister for Energy and Petroleum, Colonel Larry Dovlo Lartey (retired), National Chief Security Coordinator, Nii Afotey Agbo, Volta Regional Minister among others, would also sign a communique on oil and gas with his Beninois counterpart.

Also with the president are Mr Thomas Kwesi Quartey, Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs, Mr Kweku Awortwe, Managing Director of Volta River Authority.
