Accra, March 10, GNA – President John Evans Atta Mills has appointed 11 persons as members of the Council of State.
They are Mrs Victoria Addy, Mrs Cecilia Johnson, Professor Akilakpa Sawyerr, Professor Kofi Awoonor, Daasebre Kwebu Ewusi VII and Alhaji Asoma Banda.
The rest are Hajara Musa Ali, Alhaji Mahama Iddrisu, Nana Akuako Sarpong, Otumfuo Badu Bonsu XV and Reverend Nii Amo Darko.
A release signed by Mr Mahama Ayariga, Presidential Spokesperson said this is in pursuant to Article 89(2)(d) of the 1992 Constitution of the Republic of Ghana.
