President Akufo Addo appoints Togbe Afede as NIB board chairman

President Nana Akufo Addo in consultation with the council of state has appointed the president of the national house of chiefs, Togbe Afede XIV as the board chairman of the National Investment Bank (NIB).

Togbe Afede was the board chairman of the NIB during John Drama Mahama’s era. According to players in the financial industry he is the best person to drive the fortunes of the bank.

The President also appointed John Kweku Asamoah, Mr Michael Ayesu, Mr Dennis Adjei Dwomoh, Mrs Lynn Allottey Gadzekpo, Mr Ken Kanyagui, Mr Ronald O. Akosah and Mr Etse Gadegbeku as members of the NIB board. He is the chairman World Trade Centre Accra and was voted member of the Board of Directors of the World Trade Centre in 2015.

Togbe Afede XIV is an alumnus of University of Ghana where he studied for his first degree, Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting. He also holds an MBA from the Yale School of Management.
