President Akufo-Addo and Vice Bawumiah take oath of office

Nana Akuffo-Addo has officially been sworn in as the Fifth President of the Fourth Republic of Ghana. Chief Justice Georgina Theodora Woode led the short cermony.

Having taken the oath as required by the laws of the state, President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has officially been given the mandate to exercise the powers of his presidency beginning today.

Prior to his, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumiah also led by the Chief Justice took an oath of office as Vice President.

President Nana Akufo-addo shortly after taking the oath of office delivered his very first address as President to the nation.

Their official duties as President and Vice President of the Fourth Republic of Ghana begin today.
