Presidency investigates Stan Dogbe

The Presidency has commenced investigations into the alleged assault by Presidential Staffer Stan Dogbe on a Journalist with the Ghana Broadcasting Corporation.

A Presidential Staffer, Dr Clement Apaak made the revelation on Joy FM’s News analysis show, News file Saturday.

Stan Dogbe who himself is a trained Journalist has come under huge flak from a section of the public for assaulting and destroying a recorder of the Journalist, Yahaya Kwamoah after he (Stan) got angry over the reporter’s decision to record him at the 37 Military Hospital, at a time some members of the Presidential Press Corps who were involved in an accident had been brought to the hospital.

Other Civil Society Organization such as the Media Foundation for West Africa has challenged President John Dramani Mahama to sack his aid for that unprofessional conduct.

However contributing to a discussion on the matter, Dr Apaak stated that the Chief of Staff who heads the Presidency has taken over the case.

“I know the issue is being looked into. The Chief of Staff whom we all report to has the capacity to look into such issues. Stan is a Journalist and Yahaya Kwamoah is also one, so the matter is being handled internally”.
