Presidency denies Col. Atintande’s appointment

The seat of government – Flagstaff House – has denied reports of the appointment of a deputy director of communications at the Presidency.

A statement from the Chief of Staff Prosper Bani said “the reported appointment is false”.

According to the Chief of Staff, the said Colonel Mbawine Atintande (Rtd.) “has never been and is not a staff of the Presidency, neither is he an appointee of the government.”

Sources at the Presidency had earlier told starrfmonline.com that the former Director of Public Affairs of the Ghana Armed Forces had joined the Communications Directorate of the Presidency.

The sources said Col. Atintande was already going through an orientation processes.

The Presidency, however, denies the report.
