Presbyterian Church inducts head for Northern Presbytery Health Services

Bolgatanga, July 28, GNA – The Presbyterian Church of Ghana on Sunday inducted 52-year-old Health Planner, Mr. Alaale Abugre, into office as the General Manager for Northern Presbytery Health Services in Bolgatanga. Mr Abugre, who holds a masters degree in Health Planning, was the Acting General Manager of the Northern Presbytery Health Services. He was also the immediate past Chairman of the Association of Church Development (ACDEP) in northern Ghana and currently the Board Chairman of the Gbewaah Training College, the Bawku Mutual Health Insurance Scheme and the Zuuri Vegetable Farmers Association, all in the Upper East Region.

Mr. Abugre thanked the Church and pledged to work hard to move the Northern Presbytery Health Services to the highest pedestal. He appealed to health workers in the presbytery, especially Board members, to continue to support him as they did when he was acting as the Mr. Abugre said Northern Presbytery Health Services was confronted with many challenges, especially in Bawku due to the conflict, with many health workers asking for transfer. He said his administration would place premium on human resource development and management. Mr Abugre said the Presbyterian Church of Ghana placed higher premium on Church/State collaboration and that the Northern Presbytery Health Services would cooperate with the Regional Coordinating Council and all Municipal and District assemblies to promote health in the area.
