Presbyterian Church at Twifo-Praso celebrates 40th anniversary

Twifo Praso (C/R), Aug 10, GNA – The Twifo Praso branch of Presbyterian Church of Ghana has celebrated its 40th anniversary and laid a 250 million-cedi foundation stone for the construction of a manse. Rev Joseph Anang Obodai, the Chairman of the Western Presbytery of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana who officiated, repeated calls on Christians not to focus on material things but to adhere to God’s word and to have confidence and faith in Him.

He appealed to the congregation to use the occasion to “repent and lead good lives”.

Mr Yaw Agyeibi-Kessie, the Twifo-Heman-lower-Denkyira District Chief Executive, paid tribute to the founders of the church and appealed to members to follow their shining example.

On the government policy of health care delivery, he said it is the objective of the government to provide good quality health care services at affordable costs to all Ghanaians. Mr Agyeibi-Kessie appealed to the people in the district to register with the National Health Insurance Scheme.
