Pregnant woman robbed in broad daylight

A pregnant woman has been robbed in broad daylight at the Airport enclave in Accra.

The woman who had gone to cash money from the Airport branch of the UT bank was attacked as she drove out of the premises of the bank Tuesday afternoon.

According to an eyewitness, Kingsley Kyei, who narrated the incident to StarrFMonline.com, the robbers numbering four deflated the back tyre of their victim’s car before attacking her.

“As she drove out of the UT bank premises, the robbers who were riding a motorbike behind her alerted her that her tyre was flat and so she parked to take a look.

“As she stopped the car, one of them jumped out of the bike and yanked the money, which was in her bag from the passenger’s seat of the car. She tried to fight back but the guy dragged her to the floor and trumped her. She was bleeding profusely on her belly and her knees, it was really sad,” Kyei recounted.

It is unclear if the matter has been reported to the Airport Police.
