Pratt is Ghana’s most corrupt journalist – PPP scribe

Pronouncements by Kwesi Pratt Jnr., Managing Editor of the Insight Newspaper, aimed at counseling Dr. Papa Kwesi Nduom to cease from putting up a holier than thou attitude when talking about corruption has landed him in hot waters.

The PPP founder and leader is of the opinion that the perceived act of corruption among political parties is real and refuted to tow the line of other political figures who think the issue should be brushed under the carpet.

Dr Nduom’s observations, it is believed, did not sit well with the seasoned journalist, thus leading to the somewhat uncomplimentary remarks he passed about him (Nduom). In sharing his opinion on the matter, Kwesi Pratt said on Metro TV’s Good Morning Ghana show on Wednesday that Dr. Papa Kwesi Nduom, should remove the log in his own eyes first before trying to point out the speck in others.

He further said that the holier than thou attitude of Dr. Nduom is worrisome and has to come to a stop.

But in a rather sharp rebuttal, Charles Owusu, a member of the Communications Team of the PPP questioned the capacity of the seasoned journalist to castigate the PPP Flagbearer on corruption. He posited that the Insight newspaper Managing Editor cannot hold himself as a saint when issues of graft are being discussed.

In an interview with Peace FM during the station’s Midday Bulletin, Charles Owusu accused Mr. Pratt of living like a Prince from Bel-Air even though everyone knows him as a Managing Editor of a newspaper that sells less than a 100 copies.

“The Insight newspaper does not sell that many copies yet Mr Pratt cruises around in expensive cars…Just go to the news-stand and inquire. The Insight newspaper sell about 47 copies within the entire year, and you mostly find food vendors wrapping the food they sell with that paper…he is Ghana’s most corrupt journalist,” he said.

Charles Owusu, who dared the Senior Journalist to disclose his source of wealth and how he has managed to foot the expensive fees of his wards who are studying abroad, believed he (Pratt) is enjoying all those comforts in life because he has mastered the act of corruption.

“…Kwesi Pratt should desist from attacking members of the public who have done and are still doing much for the country by creating job opportunities for the unemployed…,” the PPP Communicator said.
