Nene Tetteh Djan, Paramount Chief of Prampram, urged traditional leaders in the area to be dedicated to the promotion and maintenance of the cultural belief and practices of the people.

Nene Djan also called on the people to observe the celebration of the 2015 Homowo in peace in order to be proud of themselves.

Meanwhile, the Ningo-Prampram District Assembly has presented a sheep and some crates of minerals and alcoholic drinks to the Prampram Traditional Council towards the Homowo celebration.

Alhaji Sa Rhack Nartey, District Chief Executive, presenting the items, reiterated the need for the traditional leaders to encourage their clan members to observe peace in the community during the celebration.

Alhaji Nartey also pleaded with the Council to inform the people to actively participate in the national sanitation exercises.

He explained that even though the Assembly informs residents through an information van, they hardly participate in the exercise expressing the hope that they would respond favourably in the next programme through the influence of the Council.
