PPP sets up seven-member committee at Nkoranza

The Progressive People’s Party (PPP) has set up a seven-member committee at Nkoranza to see to the organization and mobilization of more supporters for the party in the Nkoranza South Constituency.

The Committee has Mr. Kwadwo Asare as Chairman, Mr. Kwadwo Asante, Vice-Chairman, Mr. Charles Adongo, Secretary and Mr. Yaw Boakye, Treasurer.

The others are Mr. Yahaya Seidu, Youth Organiser, Miss Lydia Abena Fabea, Women’s Organiser and Mr. Kru Gaison, Porter.

Mr. Adongo told the Ghana News Agency in an interview at Nkoranza that about 300 people in Nkoranza had registered with the party and the executive members had started a membership drive in the communities.

He said those who supported the flagbearer of the Party, Dr. Paa Kwesi Nduom, during the 2008 general elections had remained loyal to him and the PPP “because they have seen some good things in him”.

Mr. Adongo complained about lack of means of transport as a major challenge facing the executives and this problem had compelled the executives to always hire vehicles to go round the constituency.

He said the poor state of the roads and the distance between the communities call for a means of transport to enable the executives to conveniently visit all communities in the constituency.

Mr. Adongo appealed to the leadership of the Party to visit Nkoranza and interact with the executives to know their challenges and support them to move the Party forward.**
