PPP flag bearer begins a tour of Western region

Dr Paa Kwesi Nduom, Presidential candidate of the Progressive Peoples Party (PPP) has begun the second phase of his campaign tour of the western.

Addressing sympathizers of the party at the Tarkwa lorry station after visiting traders at the Tarkwa central and women’s markets, Dr Nduom called on Ghanaians to ignore both the National Democratic Congress party and New Patriotic Party and rather vote PPP for massive development in the economy.

He said PPP will ensure quality health care, road construction, education and proper sanitation systems for Ghanaians when voted into power come December 7, 2012.

Dr Nduom said with Tarkwa being one of the communities that produces gold, he promised to re-construct the gold refinery sector that has been abandoned for years.

The flag bearer said with the gold refinery in place, Ghanaians can add value to the raw materials extracted, adding that this will create employment thereby reducing illegal mining activities on the part of the youth.

He said PPP is prepared to make education free from the kindergarten to the Senior High School level to assist school going age children to have access to quality education.

The PPP Presidential candidate, who was accompanied by regional and constituency executives, vowed to work tirelessly with competent men and women of integrity to ensure that revenue generated in the country is used for the intended purpose.

The team will continue their tour to Prestea Huni/Valley, Amenfi East, Amenfi Central, Jomoro, Amenfi West and Evalue-Gwira.**
