‘Positive Change Chapter II’ – Justice To Dagbon

The Chief Imam of Yendi, Yeni Limam Abubakari has called on the government to let Positive Change ‘Chapter two’ and its slogan of Good Governance and Accountability reflect in bringing justice to Dagbon.

He urged the government to stand by the truth and bring to book, all those involved in the murder of the late king of Dagbon, Yana Yakubu Andani and 40 others. He made the call when he delivered a sermon at the celebration of Eid-ul-Adha at Yendi in the Northern region. The Yendi Chief Imam used the occasion to commend the security agencies for maintaining the fragile peace in the area.

Yeni Limam Abubakar also urged the paramedical staff in the area to keep up the good service they render to the people. In another development, Sheik Sa-eed Abubakari of the Ambariya Mosque in Tamale in a sermon prayed for peace in Dagbon and the nation as a whole. He entreated Moslems to live up to the tenets of Islam and exhorted Moslem husbands and wives to live in harmony. He advised Moslem couples to see themselves as equal partners in the development of their homes. This, he noted, would enable them build a solid foundation for their children, the region and the nation as a whole.
