Porter receives a two-year sentence for stealing

Mankranso (Ash), Nov 10, GNA- A 25-year-old porter has been sentenced to two years imprisonment by the Mankranso magistrate’s court for stealing a sheep valued at 450,000 cedis at Tweapiase in the Ahafo-Ano South District.

Seth Sarfo pleaded guilty.

Police Inspector Carl Michael Adjeng told the court that Mr Ishaku Amoafo, a farmer at Tweapiase, had been experiencing frequent stealing of sheep from his pen.

The latest one was pregnant ewe and after his investigation he had information that the accused was seen on November 2 driving a sheep towards Fufuo.

Inspector Adjeng said Mr Amoafo and some friends chased the accused and arrested him.
