“Porno” King Busted

Nana Yaw Owusu, a lotto agent residing in an area called “Coal Tar”, in Tema Community 4, has been arrested for taking nude pictures of ladies with whom he engaged in sex.

It is suspected that Owusu, in his early forties and married with children, sells the nude pictures to pornographic sites on the internet abroad.

Owusu was handed over to the Deputy General Director of the Police Criminal Investigations Department (CID), Mr. Dedjo, who subsequently tasked ASP Sewornu to process him for court.

The arrest by a combined team of police and military officers as well as operatives of the National Security Secretariat, took place last Sunday upon a tip off. Some of the pictures retrieved from his house dates back to 2008.

Upon interrogation by the team that arrested him, Owusu admitted being in the business with some others but refused to disclose their identity.

What the security team has found worrying is that when Owusu was arrested, he started calling policemen at the Police Headquarters and other security men at the National Security Secretariat to come to his aid.

Mr. Dedjoe confirmed the arrest of Owusu, and told The Herald that his men are, indeed, investigating the case for a possible prosecution.

According to him, Owusu was bailed last Wednesday after three days in police custody, and he later told investigators that he snapped the pictures about two to three years ago for fun and not for any other motive.

But the Deputy CID boss, insists the police is not buying his explanation, and intend pressing charges against him as soon as investigations were completed.

Owusu’s case comes on the heels of similar thing that took place at Bekwai, in the Ashanti Region, involving one Alfred Acheson, suspected to be a pornography trader, who is on the run.

Acheson’s activities were not limited to Bekwai but also New Edubiase, Obuasi, Assin Fosu and Cape Coast in the Central Region, where he took pictures of ladies in their nude and sex acts.
