Kumasi, April 14, GNA- Politicians have been called upon to refrain from telling lies, using foul language, character assassination and violence normal with Ghana politics over the years.
Evangelist Albert Sarfo Boateng, Dean of the Ghana Bible College, who made the call, noted that these negative attitude, disturb the peace of the country and should be avoided.
Speaking on the topic: “The Church and Nation Building” at a four-day workshop in Kumasi on Tuesday, he asked church leaders to use the pulpit to sensitise members on their civic responsibilities. He said Christians should draw a distinction between spiritual and physical matters to enable them to contribute effectively to national development.
He urged churches to commit part of their income they get from offertory and other sources into development projects to raise the living standard of the people.
