Politicians must ‘unite’ Ghana – Rev. Opuni-Frimpong

The General Secretary of the Christian Council of Ghana, Rev. Dr. Kwabena Opuni-Frimpong has urged politicians to use their campaign platforms to “unite” Ghana rather than calling for violent.

According to him, the country must maintain its peace before, during and after elections after calling on the Electoral Commission to be fair and firm in addressing all matters of cheating during the December elections.

Rev. Dr. Kwabena Opuni-Frimpong made this known in an interview on NEAT FM’s morning show dubbed ‘Ghana Montie’.

“We all want the best for this country so political leaders must preach peace to their followers during their campaign trails. Leadership is not for personal comfort. It is about responding to the respiration of the people.”

“ . . our political leaders must not leave behind a divided nation; they should unite us as one. That is what we need,” he advised
