Police warns against fake recruitment documents

The Ghana Police Service has cautioned applicants against presenting fake documents during the next phase of the recruitment exercise which begins today, July 18.

Close to 20,000 applicants from across the country will take part in the exercise after qualifying to this stage.

The recruitment process in the past couple of years was fraught with scandal leading to the interdiction of a senior officer of the service – COP Patrick Timbilla. The police has served notice it will prosecute any applicant who presents forged documents.

The Director of Public Affairs Superintendent Cephas Arthur said there is going to be a thorough scrutiny of the next stage of the process.

“Applicants who present forged documents will be arrested and prosecuted”, Superintendent Arthur told Starr News.

The next stage of the process is expected to last for at least four days
