Police retrieve stolen Mercedes Benz car

Accra, Dec. 28, GNA – Police have retrieved a Mercedes Benz car which was stolen at East Legon on Christmas Day by a group of people believed to be armed robbers, Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Jonathan Yakubu, Deputy Greater Accra Region Police Commander, said on Wednesday. He told the Ghana News Agency in an interview that the black Mercedes Benz 220 DCI with registration number GW 4778 Q was spotted two days later by some Policemen in mufti and given a chase. The occupants then abandoned the car at Kaneshie in Accra and fled.

ACP Yakubu said Police found a toy pistol and cutlass in the car. No arrests have been made and the Police are looking for the robbers.
