Police quiz journalist

The Police at the weekend arrested an editor of an Accra private newspaper and another gentleman and later granted them bail in various sums.

A statement signed by Commissioner of Police (CID), Mr W K Aboah, said Kofi Coomson, Chief Editor of the Ghanaian Chronicle, had been arrested for questioning in connection with eleven diskettes stolen from the ruling NDC Headquarters.

The statement said five of the diskettes had been recovered from him, while investigations continue. It said Felix Nii Lantei Odartey Wellington and son of the officer killed during 1979 revolution, was also arrested in connection with a libellous statement he made against the President, Flt Lt J. J. Rawlings on a GTV programme “Breakfast Show” on Monday.
