Police Probe Death of Woman Found Hanging in her room at Sunyani

The Bono Regional Police have retrieved the lifeless body of a 43-year-old woman, Cynthia Boahemaa, who was found hanging in her single room at Penkwase in the Sunyani Municipality.

 

According to a police statement signed by Chief Inspector Thomas Akeelah, the Public Relations Officer of the Bono Regional Police Administration, the deceased’s co-tenants, Hayford Nkansah and Eunice Adobea, reported the incident to the police.

 

Upon arrival, the police found the body hanging from a crossbar with a cloth tied around the neck and blood oozing from her nostrils.

 

The body was inspected, taken to the Sunyani Teaching Hospital, and confirmed dead by a medical doctor. It has been deposited at the hospital’s morgue for preservation and autopsy.

 

Meanwhile, the police are investigating the circumstances surrounding Cynthia Boahemaa’s death. The statement assured the public that the police are working to unravel the circumstances leading to the death.
