A Police officer has been shot dead by suspected robbers in Kumasi in the Ashanti region.
The mufti-clad Frank Essel was reportedly killed while sitting in his vehicle near a hotel at Atwima Denkyembourso.
It is unclear if he was on duty there.
The Police are tight-lipped on the name of the hotel even though they have confirmed the incident.
The body has been deposited at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital morgue.
