Police officer resigns to campaign for Akufo-Addo

A Police officer with the New Juaben Municipal Police Command in the Eastern region has resigned to support the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party ahead of the presidential elections.

Corporal Dianatah Nicodemus reportedly tendered in his resignation letter late last year to the IGP, John Kudalor who in accordance with the Police Service Act, approved the resignation of the young law enforcer.

Information gathered by Starr News’ Eastern regional Correspondent Kojo Ansah indicates that, the Police officer resigned to enable him fully campaign for Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo in the Northern part of the country.

He is reported to have stated that he aims to become a District Chief Executive and subsequently a Member of Parliament in 2020 when NPP wins the 2016 polls.

Colleagues at the New Juaben Municipal Police Command are scandalized by the decision of the Police officer but say he is at will to take his own decisions.
