Police officer arrested for taking bribe

A police officer has been arrested in Secondi-Takoradi for attempting to take bribe from a commercial driver.

Western Regional Police Commander DCOP Kofi Boakye disclosed this to journalists at a press conference.

“…Yesterday, one of our boys attempted to collect money from somebody and he is still in cells…being charged,” DCOP Boakye said.

He maintained that such measures will be taken as and when necessary to ensure discipline among police personnel in the region.

“So discipline is the key,” he stressed.
