The Accra Regional Police Command has arrested one-person, Bright Aweh, in connection with the murder of Stephen King Amoah, a 38-year-old immigration officer.

Amoah’s burnt body was found in a gutter near GBC Satellite, opposite Comet Estate, Accra, on July 9, 2025, after he was reported missing on July 4, 2025.

According to the police, investigations reveal that Amoah left his residence in Ashongman Estate on the evening of July 3, around 8:00 p.m., after receiving WhatsApp images of cash bundles from Bright Aweh.

The suspect had requested to meet Amoah at a location in Ashongman Estate to settle an outstanding amount of GH¢ 500,000, which he claimed was for debt clearance and later collection.
