Police mounts search for murderer of girl

The Western Regional Police Command are searching for the murderer of a six-year-old girl whose headless body was found on April 9 at Shama.

The body of the girl was found in an uncompleted building at Shama and has been deposited at the Effia-Nkwanta Regional Hospital morgue.

The Western Regional Police Public Relations Officer, Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP), Olivia Ewurabena Adiku, told the media that the victim got missing two weeks ago when the elder sister sent her on an errand.

Her headless body was found on Wednesday and that the deceased’s beads were used to identify her.

ASP Adiku appealed to parents and guardians to desist from sending minors on errands especially at night and through isolated places.

She said no one have been arrested in connection with the murder.
