Police Maintain Order In The Volta Region

Police personnel have been deplored at the headquarters of the Apostles Revelations Society a Christian fellowship at Tadzewu in the Volta region.

The officers are at the convention grounds to quell any possible clash between two factions within the church.

The annual event of the church was called off because of a court injunction arising from a leadership crisis.

Speaking to Joy News the Member of Parliament elect for the area James Avedzi said the security presence will be maintained for a couple of days.

Meanwhile some members of the church who were not aware of the court injunction and had traveled to church?s headquarters have started leaving for the various places of residence three days after they arrived at the convention grounds.

Mr Avedzi said contrary to earlier reports of heightened tension at the convention there had been no incident.
