Police look for farmer for neighbour’s murder

Ejisu (Ash), Sept. 18, GNA – The Police at Ejisu have mounted a search for Adongo Frafra, a 32-year-old farmer at Besease for allegedly causing the death of Kwabena Oteng, a neighbour. Oteng, 35, was said to have died after Adongo had hit him at the back of the head with a stone after the two had taken in some drink at a bar.

Briefing the Ghana News Agency on the incident at Ejisu on Friday, Chief Inspector A.K. Danquah said at about 10.30 hours on August 22, this year, the deceased and Adongo went to a drinking spot and after drinking, they started teasing each other. He said Oteng at a point, removed some money from Adongo’s pocket and attempted to run away with it.

Chief Inspector Danquah said Adongo took a stone and hit the back of Oteng’s head and he fell down unconscious with blood oozing. He said he was rushed to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) where he was pronounced dead on arrival and added that a post-mortem examination performed by Dr Oti Boateng showed that the deceased died of head injury.
