Police impound 310 motorbikes in Tema

The Tema Regional Police Command has impounded 310 motor bikes to be dismantled and sold to scrap dealers.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCOP) Maxwell Atingane, the Regional Police Commander, told journalists in Tema that 250 vehicles were also seized for involving in a number of offenses, including using of cars for criminal activities and misconduct on the road.

He cautioned motorbike riders to abide by the rules and regulations on the road.

“Make sure that you buy your motor bike through legal means, then register it and make sure you abide by the rules such as wearing your helmet whilst riding,” he said.
