Police hunt for hit-and-run driver in Russian CJ’s car crash

The police have launched a man hunt for the driver of the tipper truck that reportedly drove into the convoy of the Russian Chief Justice.

Mikhailovic Lebedev was returning from an annual conference of the Ghana Bar Association in the Volta Region when the accident occurred.

The Russian authorities have dispatched an air ambulance to fly him back home from the intensive care unit of the 37 Military Hospital.

The Head of Education, Training and Research at the MTTU, DSP Alexander Obeng, has told XYZ News, the Police are currently in the Volta Region to continue their investigations.

“We have an investigation team in the region and we trying to determine the causal factors of the crash. He (truck driver) we believe, sped off after the crash, but we have figured out the process in which it happened. We hope to provide some answers soon,” he assured.
