Police Command Hunt For Baby Thief

The Tema Regional Police Command has mounted a search for a lady who allegedly stole a four-month old baby girl. A statement issued by the Public Affairs Unit of the Command said the theft took place on October 19.

Chief Inspector Turkson said the baby’s mother, Adisah Danda, a 22-year-old trader, was in her provisions shop in Tema when an unidentified lady popped in to buy some of the items. C/Insp Turkson said when Danda went inside the shop to bring the lady’s request, she snatched the baby who was crawling in front of the shop and bolted.

She appealed to the general public, especially tro-tro and taxi drivers, to furnish the Police with information that could lead to the arrest of the baby thief.
