Police begins investigation into Ayariga’s attack

Police in the Western region have begun investigations into Friday’s attack on the convoy of PNC Flagbearer, Hassan Ayariga.

Security operatives traveling with Mr. Ayariga were reported to have exchanged gun fire with suspected armed robbers who attacked the PNC Flagbearer.

A member of his campaign team who sustained gunshot wounds is receiving treatment at the Effia Nkwanta Hospital.

This is the second time the PNC Flagbearer’s convoy has been attacked by unknown men.

Vice chairman of the PNC, David Nibi in an interview with XYZ News said they managed to escape because their security returned fire.
