Police arrest two for murder

The Kwesimintsim Police on Monday arrested two persons for allegedly killing a nine-year-old girl, at Dixcove in the Ahanta West District.

The suspects, James Cobbinah, 20, step-father of the deceased and Paa Nii Quartey, 53, are in police custody for further interrogation.

The Kwesimintsim District Police Commander, Chief Superintendent Issah Ahmed Yakubu, confirmed the arrest to the Ghana News Agency.

He said the deceased, Francisca Afrim, was found dead at a suburb of the town last Saturday, August 10, by some residents, and a report was made to the police.

The corpse had been deposited at the Dixcove Government Hospital pending autopsy.
