The suspects; Bernard Amoako, Michael Osei, Teddy Osei, Eric Darko and Richard Asante all alleged to be engaged in cyber fraud guys popularly known as ‘ Sakawa’, attacked people with broken bottles and destroyed several properties.

Eastern regional police PRO, ASP Ebenezer Tetteh who led some officers from the regional command to effect the arrest confirmed the incident. He says more suspects will be rounded up and made to face the full rigours of the law.

According to him, apart from the injuries and destruction caused to properties, they also created an atmosphere of fear and panic with residents running for their dear lives.

“So far we have arrested five and our preliminary investigations shows that they are guys who are part of those who caused the nasty incident. They had parked their cars obstructing or preventing other cars from having their way so some people who didn’t agree opposed them and it created the fight. We have arrested the five, we are pursuing the rest and we are going to investigate and ensure that the law works”. ASP Tetteh explained.
