Police arrest NPP executive for destroying NDC posters

The Ghana police service has arrested NPP executive member at Dweanasi for destroying posters and Bill boards of NDC parliamentary candidates for fanteakwa south, Abigail Elorm Mensah.

The culprit, Yaw Abankwa, GhanaPoliticsOnline.com gathered, was monitored by the campaign team of the parliamentary candidate for a long time till the day he was caught yesterday .

According to close sources, Yaw Abenkwa, who is currently at Anyinam Police station, together with some NPP members have been deeply involved in destroying candidates of NDC posters in Eastern region , an operation which the party launched in other to frustrate the Ndc candidates in the eastern region .

Months ago the eastern regional secretary of NDC Mark-Oliver Kevor, released a statement , instructing party faithfuls to serve as *”Umbrella guards”* at all places where our billboards et al are located in other to protect them since the countless complainTs lodged at the Police stations don’t seem to be enough deterrent.

Again , the general secretary after continuous destruction of Ndc billboards cautioned those behind this act as well as NPP to dEsist from this shameful act since its continuity will obviously destroy the peace and tranquility we are currently enjoying
