Police arrest farmer with large quantities of wee

Police in the Karaga District of the Northern Region have arrested a 30-year old farmer, Zaku Braimah with large quantities of dried leaves suspected to be Indian hemp.

The contraband goods according to the Northern Regional Police Public Relations Officer (PRO), ASP Ebenezer Tetteh who confirmed the incident to ultimatefmonline.com, were intercepted its the way to Tamale for onward transporting to Kumasi in the Ashanti Region.

According to him, the suspect was arrested upon a tip off while he an accomplice currently on the run carried the items on two motorbikes disguised as maize.

Two motorbikes, five maxi bags of the substance and dozens of them compressed in slaps have been retrieved from the suspect who will be arraigned before court later this week after police investigators might have finished their work.
