Police arrest fake doctor at Sefwi-Wiawso Government Hospital

Sekondi, July 28, GNA – The Western Regional Police Command has arreste= d Gabriel Duah, 26, for allegedly impersonating as a medical officer at Sefwi-Wiawso Government Hospital. Briefing the Ghana News Agency in Sekondi the Western Regional Police Public Relations Officer, Chief Inspector Olivia Ewurabena Adiku, said the suspect was arrested on July 19.

She said Duah was found in one of the consulting rooms of the hospital wearing doctors’ white gown attending to some patients. A Medical Assistant, Mr Paul Agyarko, became suspicious and questioned him but the suspect claimed he was a medical officer at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital in Kumasi. The hospital authorities informed the police and he was arrested.
