The Ashanti regional police command says it arrested a wrong person in connection with the murder of a thirty four year old security man at Ash town.
The suspect Kwame Sasraku also known as Bonti Killer, together with his four man gang, is said to have shot and killed Kwame Antwi after a short confrontation in a pito bar near Nana Buabasa’s residence in Kumasi.
The police placed a Ghc2000 bounty each on the four suspected criminals leading to the arrest of the mistaken Bonti Killer. He was arrested at Buduburam and handed over to the Kasoa Police in the central region.
Upon examination by the Ashanti regional police, it turns out that the man also called Bonti killer was not the original Bonti killer on police wanted list.
