Police appeal to public to help identify families of dead men

Koforidua, May 7, GNA – The Eastern Regional Command of the Ghana Police Service has appealed to the public to help identify the family of a dead man found floating on River Beyera near New Tafo on April 23. The deceased, who was found naked is believed to be around 30 years old, five feet and eight inches tall, dark in complexion and believed to be of Akan extraction. The Police wish to appeal to people whose relations left home on or before April 23 and has not returned home to contact the New Tafo Police for identification and collection of the body which is at the Police Hospital mortuary, Accra, awaiting autopsy. The Unit also appealed to the public to help identify an adult male believed to be a lunatic who died in a motor accident at Sukutu, a village near Asamankese on the Asamankese-Suhum road. The deceased, believed to be about 40 years old, is fair in complexion and about 1.60 meters tall and died in an accident on April 19. The police appealed to people whose relations left home on or before April 19 and has not returned home to contact the Asamankese Police for identification and collection of the body. 07 May 10
