Police administration assures public of maximum security in the December polls

A Deputy Commissioner of Police Dr. George Akufo Dampare, Director General in charge of Finance of the Ghana Police Service, has reiterated the commitment of the Police Administration to ensure maximum security during the December polls.

“The police are ever prepared to ensure that we have a successful election”, he said at the passing out parade of 173 police personnel in Koforidua after six months’ training.

DCOP Dampare said the Police Administration had put in the necessary measures to provide adequate security and assured that Ghana would continue to be peaceful, before, during and after the general elections.

He appealed to the public to complement the efforts of the police in maintaining peace so that Ghana would continue to be an ‘Oasis of Peace” in Africa.

DCOP Dampare appealed to the new police personnel to be disciplined at all times to enable them to excel in their chosen career.

General Constable Kokobealowe Nyafele Fofie Philemon was adjudged the overall best and was presented with a baton of honour.
