PNC Yuletide Message

The PNC joins the Nation in celebrating this most festive occasion and urges that we share the gift of God’s love by given off ourselves and sharing generously with those in need and by living the profound and universal lessons Jesus taught us: that we are to love our neighbors as ourselves. Let us, like Jesus, become true peace makers, bringing the gift of peace to our homes, schools, communities and the nation at large. And let us continue to reach out when and where we can, to give new hope to the most impoverished in society.
The PNC urges Ghanaians to pray for the nation and to remember the reason why our Lord Jesus Christ was born. Let us also remind ourselves that it is through a spirit of sacrifice and perseverance that we can succeed. This year has been marked by moments both of hope and despair. As it comes to its end, the message we convey to all Ghanaians is one of HOPE. We have confidence in the wisdom and good sense of the majority to share the hope that the New Year will bring us nearer to a situation of justice and peace for all.

Our collective new year’s resolution should be putting God first and foremost in our lives and seeking his guidance to stamp out corruption, decrease the spate of unemployment, decrease the ever escalating crime rate, offer better distribution of the country’s wealth and resources, improve the standard of leaving of our people and to create opportunity for all who are prepared.
As we approach 2012, which is an election year, the PNC will be the driving force that changes the way politics is run in Ghana. We therefore call on all Ghanaians to support us in this great work and ask for your prayers. We ask those of you who are worn down by the seemingly endless problems our beloved country faces, to take heart. There is hope for the future!
Regrettably, we have heard public office holders and our colleague politicians made irresponsible statements that have the potential of jeopardizing our democratic gains and future. The PNC prays and wishes that such recklessness will give way to meaningful and responsible political engagements which foster the spirit of love peace, unity and development.
The party wishes to entreat Ghanaians that the blessings of this season should be enough inspiration to us, to believe that together we can build an enviable Nation with a brighter future for generations.
We wish all Ghanaians Merry Christmas, a safe, prosperous and a hope filled New Year.
Bernard Mornah (General Secretary)
