PNC to elect new constituency executives

Takoradi, Oct. 12, GNA – The Western Regional Office of the People’s National Convention (PNC) has ordered the various constituencies in the region to carry on with the election of constituency executives.

This was contained in a press statement issued in Takoradi and copied to the GNA on Wednesday.

The Western Regional Chairman of the PNC, Mr Yakubu Tahiru, said after the National Executive Council meeting in Accra on September 17, it was agreed that the regional and constituency congresses should be conducted with supervision from the Electoral Commission starting from October 17.

He said all levels of elections should be conducted in accordance with the party’s Constitution and that any constituency election held before the October 17 would be considered as illegal.

Mr Tahiru said any member of the party who desired to contest for any position should contact the constituency or regional chairperson of the party for the forms.

The Regional Chairman said his doors were always opened for any needed clarification from any member of the party.
