PNC executives visit Provencal

Accra, May 4, GNA – Executives of the Greater Accra Regional Branch of the People’s National Convention (PNC) have visited Mr Sonny Provencal, an ailing veteran of the independence struggle. A statement signed by Mr Kurby Kandoro, Secretary, said Mr John Ndebugre, MP for Zebilla and First National Chairman of the PNC, joined them for the visit.

The statement said Mr Ndebugre paid tribute to Mr Provencal, who was the Greater Accra Regional Minister and Mayor of Accra during the Kwame Nkrumah regime.

He recalled with pride the leadership roles Mr Provencal played in the Kwame Nkrumah Revolutionary Guards and the Movement for Freedom and Justice during the days of the Provisional National Defence Council. The statement said the delegation made a cash donation to Mr Provencal.

It said Mr Provencal thanked the PNC leadership and urged them to extend the same humanitarian gesture to other aged party faithful. 4 May 07
