Accra, April 22, GNA – The People’s National Convention (PNC) on Friday congratulated the National Democratic Congress (NDC) for winning the Asawase by-election held Thursday.
A statement issued in Accra on Friday and signed by Mr Gabriel Pwamang, PNC’s General Secretary said the party was happy to contest the seat with the NDC and that the best organised side won.
It said it would be the chance of the PNC to win next time. The statement commended the Police and other security personnel who were deployed at the Asawase constituency for the by-election for the firm and swift manner in which they brought the violence unleashed by some party activists under control. 22 April 05
